I did a lot of research on suitable outdoor cameras with particular emphasis on functionality, value for money and usability. The problem with other brands is that one is inundated with adverts when trying to use the App which renders the system very frustrating and hardly practical to use.

The camera resolution is good, features are average, tracking/software needs work. First issue is you cannot subscribe only to people notifications while also using motion tracking. If you turn on motion tracking you have to also get alerts for every little motion, super annoying.

I have the older C510W outdoor camera which I was very happy with already. Needed a second one and decided to go one level up. The difference in quality is very noticeable and I'd definitely recommend spending a little bit more if you're tied between the two. With that said, both work great.

The quality is amazing it has worked for weeks still no issues with it!! I totally will be ordering more when I get the money. Only problem is that the power is hard to find places outside without an outlet nearby.

I had a similar camera installed from a different manufacturer also with AI detection capabilities. The AI human detection detected even falling leaves as humans. So I decided to give this Tapo a go.
As with most new technologies it was an easy setup and connection with the app.

I am very happy with this camera. Needed an outdoor waterproof camera. I added a 64GB Micro-SD and it saves recordings for up to 4 weeks depending on activity.
Its motion tracking is super fast, and the light is bright. I paired the camera with a UPS, and it lasts more than 6h in a power outage .

Excellent camera. Detects motion from cars, people, pets. Always alerts me of motion. Never fails me. Will buy another. Highly recommend. Doesn't just capture 30 seconds of footage.

The 2K videos are quite clear and the camera is easy to navigate via the Tapo app.
It is also quite easy to install. What I like the most is the ability to setup and configure notifications to filter area intrusions and person detection. Also, allows you to pre-set Pan/Tilt viewson the app.
