No one would call these a necessity but they are really useful. Currently have 2 in the front room doubling as a sound system with fire stick (1 might be a little quiet, they are fairly loud in operation but some apps like Netflix are a little more quiet than others). Also got one in the kitchen.

It is a fun little speaker and you can ask Alexa anything from jokes, to the wether and lots of music etc. its very good quality and loads of fun. It is compact and small and can be placed anywhere without being intrusive. I m very happy with my little Alexa speaker and can definitely recommend.

My Echo Pop was easy to install and easy to change settings when I decided to change from stereo to everywhere. Impressed by how responsive Alexa is linking to my Amazon Prime music account. I prefer this speaker ahead of my Apple Home Pod. I bought mine when on special at a bargain price.
