It's hard to tell what docks work with this Yoga 720 15, as Lenovo has no official documentation that says how many external displays the Thunderbolt 3 port supports, and it definitely only has 2x lanes (20gbps).

The Lenovo docking station was far superior to the generic docking station. Everything worked reliably including the internet, hdmi, and DP. Unlike most (probably all) generics, this docking station will power and charge your laptop, so only need just the USB-C connector to get full functionality.

I've had some issues with Thunderbolt docks before, but this one just works for my lenovo X1 (8th gen intel) running ubuntu.

However, the drawbacks of it are as follows: 1) The device temperature is a bit too high while working 2) Audio can suffer from some crosstalk noise 3) Connecting video camera with USB on it also shows up the annoying glitch...

I use 3 additional screens to my laptop and this dock is awesome. Everything works perfectly fine and the Thunderbolt 3 cable also powers my T470. Highly satisfied.

These things seem to die on my after about a year of use, whether it's a Lenovo, HP, or other brand. This one, while a bit on the large and heavy side, has lots of ports. Best of all, you can power on the laptop without opening the lid. Webcam, audio, and peripherals all work great connected to it.

Bought this for a recent laptop that can charge from USB-C. Now, I only have one cable between the laptop and everything else. I don't have to worry about Wi-Fi issues, since the laptop now is using the dock's network adapter, and it works flawlessly with my keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

It seemed to work OK at first, but then I noticed issues with peripherals (USB web cam), which seems to be a widespread problem with Lenovo docking stations (or at least the internet leads me to believe this), but it is still a bit disappointing, and hard to find a work around.
