Loud, really REALLY loud. There is no volume control whatsoever, on the device or within the app. At its lowest setting on an S23 Ultra, it's barely audible, one notch up, you almost can't work.

It's not perfect but it is a fun and great speaker. I have an older JBL Pulse 2 that is not holding a charge like it use to, so I decided to upgrade to the Pulse 5. I like the 360-degree light show and all of the options to modify the light show are really cool.
