Had this one for over 5 years that I won at an arcade. Only recently has it had issues, and it’s just that it can no longer keep a worthy charge time. The absolute greatest bluetooth speaker I ever had. Been through water and mud, thrown and beaten around… still sounds perfect clarity and bass wise.

I like jbl. I previously owned the Charge 4. The battery lasted longer on the 4 than the 5. Also you HAVE to use Bluetooth on the Charge 5. I missed the option of using the wired input rather than HAVING to use Bluetooth. The battery lasts longer using the wired input.

All things considered, this relatively small speaker sounds great. Get the JBL app to keep the software current. There is also an equalizer on the app. Despite its size, there is a certain 'tightness' to the bass. No it's not equivalent to a large tower speaker, but all things considered, not bad.
