I have a one wide foot and the other is longer. I was directed to a wide size with an insert for my high arch. I wore these for over 170 miles over 14 days. No blisters, no issues. However, the sole does seem to wear out faster than it should. For the price, I would like to see a more quality sole.

I currently have the Gaviota 4âs and theyâre super worn (because Iâve loved them!) so I bought an identical pair of 4âs as well as this pair of 5âs so I could compare them. The photos show a few style (fabric, foam composition) and functional (toe box width, tread placement) differences.

The HOKA Gaviota 5 finally made me believe in all the HOKA hype I have heard about for years from family or social media. Honestly, I put the Gaviota 5 right up there with my other favorite in the stability category, the Saucony Tempus, in terms of comfort and performance.

My go to shoe! I am on my feet all day and need a supportive shoe to get me through. My podiatrist says I have fallen arches and I need to wear special insoles but with the Gaviota I have the support I need without my insoles. My feet thank me everyday.

I started with the gaviota 4 about a year ago, and this may sound dramatic but this shoe has been life changing for me. This new 5 is even better than I could imagine! There is more room in the toe box, without making the whole shoe wider. The cushioning feels even softer/squishier than the 4.

Really had high hope for this shoe. Incredibly comfortable right out of the box.- I bought these shoes as everyday walking shoes because they were comfortable,
I luv the big toe box and cushioned insoles.

For the runner doing serious road training and needing extra stability support, the Gaviota 5 is an excellent option. With a max stack height and max stability support, you have all the protection you need to collect all your training miles.

This is my go to shoe for working 9 hours a day on hard surface floor. I battle planter fasciitis from time to time and when my heel starts to hurt, I purchase a new pair and my pain goes away!

The podiatrist recommended Hoka shoes for some feet problems I have. Unfortunately, I need a narrow shoe and Hoka doesn't make shoes in narrow width. In the past the Gaviota 2 fit OK. Unfortunately, the Gaviota 5 is much wider. I'm attaching a photo of a Gaviota 2 (pink trim) and the new Gaviota 5.

So, I had multiple pairs of the 4 and I loved them. Finally broke down and got the new 5 (which I’d been putting off based on reviews). They’re comfortable but with the increased width in the toe box, my insoles don’t fit. There’s about 1/2 inch gap between the insole and the outside of the shoe.
