The Garmin HRM 600 has been really good so far. Heart rate tracking is accurate and consistent during my workouts. Connecting and disconnecting the pod from the strap is actually very easy, so I am not sure why people were saying it was hard.

I am so glad I bought this. I hike with poles, run my dog holding a leash and train on the stairstepper. My Garmin Fenix does not give me a accurate HR during these exercises (I knew this before I bought it which was totally ok) Adding the HR monitor is the best thing I could have done it gives me...

Can’t believe it. This is a heart rate monitor that doesn’t support live heart rate monitoring with the out of the box device and Garmin Connect app. That’s the bare minimum for a heart rate monitor for any endurance sport.

Switched from the HRM Pro Plus to this one. Didn’t notice much difference in functionality, just some extra metrics for run related activities. Good to have rechargeable battery and removable center piece while washing.

Honestly I’m going to return this, it’s not very accurate on a treadmill and part of the reason I bought this was for the running dynamics plus it’s so easy to lose this and for $170 it should have some sort of feature to find a lost device.

It works fine, but I don't know why they decided to switch to a rechargeable battery, the battery life is very poor. I got 12 hours recorded, less than a month before having to charge again. It's a far cry from 2 months at 1 hour daily claimed (60 hours?).

Why is REI still selling this product? I received it today and hoped to use it on my run tomorrow. Right out of the box, I broke it, trying to take the strap off of the rechargeable piece.
