Even after downloading drivers from Belkin website my MacBook Air wouldn't recognize it. I have it setup on my laptop (PC running on Windows 10) and works fine.

I would give 5 stars if the driver provided on Belkin's website does support latest MacOS 10.9 and 10.10. To get this adapter working with latest versions of MacOS, just search in Google for "ax88179" and most probably the first result will be the website of the chip manufacturer "Asix" where you...

Works out of the box on Linux (Fedora 20), so far without a hitch. I almost docked a star because it seems much bigger in person than the pictures seem to indicate, but since it works so flawlessly, it keeps all 5 stars.

Since I haven't seen any others mention it, works out of the box, without any need to install drivers on Linux. Tested on Kali Linux 1.0.6, on a laptop, both on USB 3 and USB 2 ports. Also tested on HP Chromebook 11, running Kali Linux, works like a charm.

This device is meant to convert a USB 3.0 slot into an HDMI port so you can have images from your laptop displayed on an HDTV. For it's intended purpose the device works very well.

Used successfully with both a Surface Pro 3 and 4, it's a little bulkier than the F4U047 USB 2.0 10/100 Ethernet adapter by Belkin, but it works and definitely isn't large, so I'd recommend this for anyone who's travelling and needs access to a wired network via USB

Overcomes connection and some DNS problems you can have with WiFi. A must for new ultraboks with no eithernet port. You never know when you might need a cable connection. Some hotels only have cable.

Just another asix derived unit, but seems to be pretty well made. Comes with a 8" cable attached which is about as long as i'd like. Transfer rates via my dell xps 15 have been between 75-110mb/sec when using it at work, which is on par with the built in intel gigabit nic in the hp workstations use.
