We had our old Fire Stick for about 4 years. We have since discovered that they're only good for a few years, then need to be replaced. Thankfully, they're cheap enough that it's not a huge problem, just more of an inconvenience when they go out in the middle of a movie!

Setup was a breeze once I figured out the supplied dongle “for improved wifi and performance” doesn’t deliver enough juice from my TVs HDMI port to the stick. Screen was cycling between setup of the stick and No Source on my curved Samsung TV until I removed the dongle and plugged the stick directly...

Love our Fire sticks, we have 3 now. The Roku always has connection issues and I lose reception or WiFi but we have no issues now that we switched to the Fire Stick. Also need two remotes with Roku and only one with the Fire Stick because it syncs to the TV.

My gen 2 firestick had some issues with playing high resolution vids from flash drive so sometimes I had to down covert the vid...
