I've been designing for almost 20 years, dating back to my days as editor-in-chief of my high school newspaper. I earned my undergraduate degree in journalism, because I was interested in understanding how to convey information and ideas through visual art.My career began in the trenches of a leading entrepreneurial publishing house, designing books and marketing collateral for entrepreneurs the world over. Starting with the company in 2007 as a junior designer, I ascended to the role of creative director in 2018 before exiting in 2019 to found G Sharp Design, LLC. I helped that company grow with design thinking, and I aim to do the same for my clients. When I'm not busy designing books, you'll find me gigging with one of my two bands, jogging through the streets of Charleston, South Carolina and spending quality time with my wife, Sarah; daughter, Hazel; and cat, June Carter Cat.

Johnson, Scott

Scott Johnson grew up in northern Minnesota and studied political science at Bemidji State University before enlisting in the Air Force for six years. After his service commitment, Scott worked as an IT manager for a sovereign wealth fund in the San Francisco Bay Area. Scott went on to form and operate several small technology and real estate businesses in California while making time to complete a bachelor of science degree. Eventually, he found himself in federal, state, and military contracting. Over the subsequent 15 years, Scott led several companies' sales efforts for professional services, software development, and data service contracts. Scott returned to school a third time during the pandemic. He was accepted into a leading business school program, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Dakota. Scott now advises small and medium-sized businesses on government business development, proposal development, channel marketing, and sales capture strategies. Scott and his wife live in northern California and travel with their RV during the off-season. They have one son, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson and are in their third decade of living with McNab Shepherds.
