Descripción

One of the most important contributions in the field of plant ecology during the twentieth century, this definitive survey established the geographical limits, species compositions, and as much as possible of the environmental relations of the communities composing the vegetation of Wisconsin. Vegetation of Wisconsin. 'Curtis' breadth of approach, methods of investigation, and presentation of results and their interpretation are a major contribution to the development of plant ecology. This should make the book easily understood by those who are not specialists in plant ecology or are not familiar with the vegetation of North America.'
