Why are you ashamed of what somebody else did to you?

Childhood sexual abuse leaves invisible marks that carry into adulthood and stop you from doing, dreaming, and achieving.

The root of shame keeps you feeling undervalued, even in your own eyes. You lose years living in safe mediocrity instead of purposeful intention.

This is not God's plan for you.

Author Andrea S. Jones understands this all too well. Her authentic sharing of some hard truths will walk you through the steps a predator takes in grooming his victim. You will see how he becomes a loved member of the family while targeting his prey.

You do not have to continue living with the shame of your past, but before you can become shameless, you must embrace the broken.

As you journey with Andrea through some of her shattered places, you may just identify some of your own.

If you have the courage to take the trip, you will discover:

- How a predator manipulates his prey

- Reasons why a victim remains silent

- How skills, courage, and strength develop from difficulty

Now is the time for you to begin Shattering Shame.

Svorec, Shane

Shane Svorec is a lifelong writer and author who currently resides in New Jersey, along with her husband, three children, rescue dogs, and chickens. Best described as a traveling gypsy with the heart of a hippie and the faith of a missionary, Shane uses her hardships to connect, inspire and encourage others. Having traveled across the country as a child, she's lived in more places than she can count and has stories to connect them all like destination dots on a map. Shane writes with such colorful and palpable descriptions; readers feel they can see the world through the back seat of a VW bus along with her. She credits her unconventional and adventurous upbringing for becoming an observant, resilient, flexible, brave, and empathetic woman and honest writer.Once a child of the state, who later became a foster parent, Shane has made it her life mission to advocate for those without a voice. Using her many life experiences to connect with others, her writing reaches and touches readers of all ages. A proud mother, animal lover, believer in angels, and faith-filled woman, she is highly involved in her community, an active member of her church, public servant, member of her local Board of Education, mental health and crisis intervention worker, perpetual peacemaker, and kindness spreader.

Once again, Andrea testified, and her stepfather was finally convicted. She sat in the courtroom as he was charged, arrested, and taken to prison.Andrea is passionate about advocating for those who have suffered from child sexual abuse and domestic violence. She has shared her testimony of overcoming the shame and feelings of worthlessness that sexual abuse imparts both locally and Internationally. She has a heart to help those suffering from the effects of child abuse. By vulnerably sharing her personal story, she models the way, identifying life events that have narrated a false identity.
