Acerca del Autor
Marie Akisawa is a chef and nutritionist. She has published four books on healthy cooking: 2014's Beat Diabetes Without Giving Up Gourmet Foods, 2015's Beat Diabetes with Low-Carb Cooking, 2016's 171 Food Recipes for Beauty, and 2017's Almost Sugar-Free Cooking for Special Occasions. She has published two books on supplements: 2003's Supplement Magic, and 2004's How to Stay Beautiful and Healthy with Supplements. Armed with hundreds of original recipes, Marie opened a restaurant and catering business called Marie's Low-Carb Foods in Hyogo, Japan, where she sells healthy snacks, cakes, bread and pizzas that are low in carbs, and provides consulting to restaurants. Marie recently founded and is the Chairwoman of the Japan Nutritional Foods Association. She is a macrobiotic master and hosts a weekly internet radio show, called "Marie's Room." She resides in Japan. Motoko Kimura turned her lifelong love of film and storytelling into a successful career as an author, and television and film producer. She is the best-selling author of A Moment to Remember. As a writer, Motoko penned the stories for the films Lingering Spirits and Bokura no hôteishiki. She is one of only a few exclusive creators and producers in Japan who spans film, television, and theater, where she has produced more than 30 plays and musicals, working with Broadway directors such as Daniel Goldstein and Evan Cabnet. Living half a year in Los Angeles and half a year in Tokyo, her now seven-year old son has enjoyed an extremely healthy life. In addition, by following the Shokuiku principles, she eats a broad range of foods, making traveling much more fun and stress-free!
