My husband loves soft boiled eggs for breakfast and this works perfectly. Also great for making hard boiled eggs for potato salad, etc. We used our first one for a few years. It was still working OK, but we hadn't done a good job of cleaning it well after each use, so it had gotten a little funky.

I bought this almost a year ago and use it regularly for omelets and hard boiling eggs. Poaching is trickier. The individual cups are strangely shaped and don't cook the way I prefer, so I seldom use that feature. I do love the omlet feature and use it regularly. I would recommend this cooker.

I have been using my egg cooker for a while now and very satisfied with the results. I love that the boiled eggs are just right and not too hard. You can make omelets with large eggs, but NOT xlarge, and you can add cheese or mushrooms, but a little and the texture is very good.

I find piercing the eggs annoying but worth that extra step, and the cooker comes with a piercer built into the bottom of the water measuring cup, so pretty easy...

I always buy Cuisinart products to try them. Most are a very good idea but some are just novelties. I feel this is more of a novelty because you would have to eat a whole lot of eggs to ever really use it. Just a pan on the stove is easier and less clean up. Just not necessary.

The Cuisinart electrinic Egg cooker works great. While I only use it for hard boiled eggs, it does the trick for me. As far as the design of the unit, I would recommend not trying to move it after you fill the water tray as it is easy to spill with the small lip for the lid.

Love the egg Central, it used to be the only egg cooker in town. It makes simply the best eggs for deviled eggs. They peel very very easily, if Cook in the egg Central and immersed in cold water for 4,minutes after they are done. The shells just fall off.
