In the darkest days of his life, Fedele Loria put a quill pen on paper and told his story. As a prisoner during the First World War, he was forced to experience every human emotion in the extreme. Despair and hopelessness overwhelm his companions on Christmas Eve 1917. We see hope for the future when he says, "So many times have I dreamed of my beautiful liberty."
