CJ Harris quit the LAPD after the tragic death of his younger brother. His venture out of the city led him to Jonesboro, Washington, a tourist trap entirely dependent on the success of its struggling local winery. After three years spent alone-aside from his customers at the local bar-CJ has closed himself off to the world and has no intention of returning to detective work.
But then Jack Romero, one of the winery's co-owners, is murdered in the months leading up to a grand re-opening event. Despite his best efforts to resist, Jonesboro's lackluster sheriff's office motivates CJ to find Jack's murderer himself. With a dying town's future on the line, CJ hits the streets once again, and quickly realizes he won't be able to solve the case alone.
With the help of the friends he's kept at arm's length, he uncovers the threads of a decades-old scandal and discovers the importance of true connection and its ability to overcome our pasts and rewrite our futures.
