Dr. Baker is also the author of A Dreamer's Journey, and African American Spirituality Thought & Culture. She is soon to publish the book, The Sociology of Art, Religion and Culture.

Dr. Phyllis Baker is Professor Emeritus of Sociology at Miami Dade College and teaches at Florida International University and Nova University in South Florida.
