Jan Ackerson lives with her husband, Ben, in rural Michigan. A retired high school teacher, she spends her time doing occasional freelance editing and watching reality television shows. Jan believes that learning should never stop, so in the past few years, she has worked to relearn algebra and geometry and to relearn conversational Spanish. She enjoys spending time with her two daughters and two granddaughters, the holders of her heart.
