BEATRIZ SANTIAGO GONZALEZ The author was born in Puerto Rico on September 29, 1963. She grew up in a traditional family and has dedicated her life to them as well as to helping others. For ten years, she has been writing true stories about the different events that have shaped her life. By telling of her experiences in the form of short stories, Beatriz offers the reader significant contributions to face life situations similar to those she has experienced. She is the author of three books: Adiós papá, adiós mama (Farewell, Mom and Dad), a testimonial about a daughter's suffering as she faces both of her parents' struggle with Alzheimer's disease; Alejandra tiene miedo (Alejandra's Fear), the story of a woman's experiences who, since childhood, suffered from depression and panic attacks; and her third book, Mi amigo Juan, an entertaining narrative for children about one boy's experience as a victim of bullying at his school. Mi amigo Juan has been translated into English as My Friend Juan.
