They failed initially, many of them several times, but they did not give up; they kept trying until they succeeded. It shows the value of success through failure and the meaning dreams bring to life.

Octavio Romero was born in Puebla, Mexico. Since early childhood he has been in sales because he had to help supplement the meager family income. He came to the USA at age twelve; it was a cultural shock to him because of the language and the difference in school systems. He couldn't adapt and dropped out in grade 10th. He found a job as a sewing machine operator. He was paid by the piece and made less than minimum wage. He lasted there five years. It was a disheartening job with no future and no possibilities for advancement. His biggest fear was to end up working there a lifetime. Several middle-age operators had been there for decades. He quit and drifted from job to job: construction, warehousing, gardening. At each job he had to start at the bottom making minimum wage because he had no experience. He realized he needed an education. He started reading books to get some learning. One job was at a golf course. He liked it there because it was a pretty place and the customers were nice and seemed relaxed. He comprehended the reason he came to the US was to learn, work, contribute and enjoy life. When he was laid off, he decided not to have any more survival jobs. He started his own business. He entered into a partnership with his brothers. They promoted many products; it was a slow and painful learning process. The possibility of failure was ever present. They eventually learned how to manage their business and found their niche and product. Today, the two brothers have a successful business dealing with anime products. They are pioneers in the Hispanic market in the USA, and already have a thriving import and export practice with many Latin American countries. Octavio wrote his first book: Wise Survivors: How to Prosper in Difficult Times. Written in Spanish, this book is featured at the Latin American Book Festival.
