Mothers is a coloring book that highlights the diversity of pregnancy and motherhood. It honors the career of Dr. Krishna Kakani, an obstetrician in Huntsville, Alabama. John 'Jahni' Moore, a local artist, designed and illustrated the coloring book with input from the community of Dr. Kakani's patients, friends, and family. Inside the book, there are 40 full page illustrations with an accompanying quotation on the back.

John "Jahni" Moore is a southern born visual artist and writer. His early years were immersed in books, church, and nature. He is a graduate of Alabama A&M University with a B.S. in Graphic Design and an M.Ed. in Art Education. He also received an M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Art from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He has created murals from Chicago to Colombia, South America.
