Acerca del Autor
Tony Burton, born in England in 1953, is a geographer who taught, gave lectures and guided specialist cultural and ecological trips in Mexico for 18 years. He has written extensively about Mexico's history and geography, and won ARETUR's annual international travel-writing competition on three occasions for articles about Mexico. His previous books include "Western Mexico: A Traveler's Treasury" (2014), now in its fourth edition, and "Lake Chapala Through the Ages, an Anthology of Travelers' Tales" (2008). He also created the best-selling Lake Chapala Maps, first published in 1996, and is the co-author, with Dr. Richard Rhoda, of the landmark volume "Geo-Mexico, the Geography and Dynamics of Modern Mexico" (2010). Tony and his wife, Gwen, live on Vancouver Island in Canada and frequently travel back to Mexico.
