Poetry is the most expressive of the various forms of the written language. It allows one to describe events, experiences, people and emotions in an imaginative manner. Author Jerry Edwards has been an avid reader of all of types of literature his entire life. As a businessperson, he was an accomplished executive in the field of retail Home Improvement. His love of the written word has been his passion. Throughout his lifetime, he has written short stories and poetry for his own enjoyment. At the age of 80, and encouraged by family members, he decided to publish a book of poetry. The 49 poems that he has selected for this book reflect his personal favorites.
