In times of conflict, we write. Through that writing, we invite a catharsis to take place.
This anthology was crafted, edited, and produced by the members of the Off Campus Writers' Workshop, one of the country's longest, continuously running writing workshops. Though headquartered in Winnetka, IL, OCWW serves a global membership of over 400 writers with their weekly Zooms and hybrid workshops (both in-person and livestreamed). Editors Peter Hoppock and Renee James re-teamed to oversee this creative endeavor after producing Turning Points (Windy City Publishers, 2021), OCWW's 75th Anniversary anthology. In considering the anthology's theme, James assures that, "All storytelling is conflict. If there is no conflict, there is no story, just a letter to Santa Claus."

Off Campus Writers' Workshop
Off Campus Writers' Workshop is a member-managed non-profit organization that has helped thousands of aspiring writers learn the art and craft of creative writing. Our anthology project started in the autumn of 2019, with a session on the elements of short story writing led by Patricia McNair, an accomplished short story writer and gifted university educator. Since that time, our authors have written first drafts, subjected them to the rigors of critique group analysis, then worked with OCWW editors to refine and revise their works. Our combined works represent a full spectrum of OCWW members, from those engaged in creative writing for the first time in their lives to established authors with many publishing credits to their names.
