Steven Leuschel, Lean healthcare practitioner pens book, Lean Culture Change Using a Daily Management System. This new book reveals decades of organizational transformation knowledge deeply rooted in the Toyota Production System and Toyota's culture.

Lean Culture Change is based on the teachings of Rodger B. Lewis, former General Manager of Quality at Toyota during the Georgetown ramp up. Lewis via the Transformation Curve has successfully transformed divisions of General Motors and organizations around the globe for decades. Now, it's time that healthcare organizations begin to learn a long-term strategic approach to transformation-- not just becoming Lean, doing kaizen events, or creating a model cell. Hoseus, Mike

Mike is Executive Director for the Center for Quality People & Organizations (CQPO). Mike Hoseus brings both manufacturing operations and specialization in Human Resource experience to CQPO. CQPO is an organization developed in 1999 as a vision of Toyota Motor Manufacturing to share Lean Quality philosophy and human resource practices with education, business, and community organizations. CQPO current projects with Toyota include New Hire selection and training process, Team Leader and Group Leader post promotion training, Quality Circle Leader and Manager training, and Global Problem Solving for all levels. Mike is co author with Dr. Jeffery Liker (Author of the Toyota Way) of Toyota Culture. Mike is an adjunct professor with the University of Kentucky's Center for Manufacturing, the University of Dayton's Center for Competitive Change and a member of the faculty of Lean Enterprise Institute. Mike currently supports organizations with Lean Culture transformations focusing on the roles of Executive Management and Human Resources and how the quality people value stream connects to the production value stream.

Leuschel, Steven R.

Steven R. Leuschel, a Lean Culture Change Coach, has aided in the adaptation and implementation of the Transformation Curve at a number of manufacturing, healthcare, and service industries, teaching and coaching a Lean daily management system at both executive and frontline levels. With a Masters in Management: Operational Excellence and a Masters Certificate in Health Services Leadership from Saint Vincent College, Leuschel is pursuing his PhD in Administration and Leadership Studies at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
