Mousey was born in Brooklyn on April 17, 1972, in a Haitian household as Jerry Jean-Baptiste. He was the youngest of six siblings. Raised in Queens, New York. A high school graduate with a deep love for poets and writers such as Langston Hughes, Edgar Allan Poe, Maya Angelou, Nina Simone.He ran the streets for about 3 years and had a bad car accident that left him comatose with a brain hemorrhage with the left side of his body motionless and numb while the right side was broken & bruised.He was nursed back by the powers of his faith & family. Embarking on an independent career as a self-made business owner. He falls in love with his now-former love, who inspired him to continue this path as a writer after reading one of his poems. His passion opened his mind after suffering a breakup with her. Filled with love as his diction captivated his peers. "I've grown to love," he said.
