John Ollis was a traveling salesman that resided in the Western Pennsylvania area. He saw many things during his travels, but none could compare to what he saw through the mountains of West Virginia.

John Ollis is a family man who attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School, The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics and attained an associate's degree in specialized technology. He then followed that up with a bachelor's degree in business management. While writing this book, he traveled weekly in the Ohio Valley Region as an operations manager for an aftermarket auto care company. He now owns an aftermarket auto repair facility.
